2014 BMW 4 Series

The 2014 4 Series coupe is what BMW calls the former 3 Series coupe. And while it's probably going to take some time before its name will be able to leave your tongue without hesitation, the new coupe is faster and lighter than the one before it, while benefiting from the strengths of the 3 Series sedan on which it's based. Why the name change? We'll get to that, but first, the car itself.

Three trims are available: Luxury, Sport, and M Sport. The first two are largely cosmetic. Luxury has chrome and wood trimmings; Sport, black trim and red interior accents. M Sport adds different bodywork and wheels, as well as more aggressive suspension, seats, and brakes. Also available is a Dynamic Package with driver-adjustable dampers and variable-ratio steering, as well as a suite of M Performance parts (mechanical locking differential, exhaust, and so on).
